A strong electrical transmission and distribution system is vital to our region’s safety, security, and economic prosperity. This underground project will increase the safety and reliability of power to the surrounding area. This project will build a new duct bank for approximately 2.6 miles from the Revere #7 Substation, located on Railroad Street to Winthrop #22 Substation, located on Argyle Street. We will also be removing the existing cable along the entire route.

The construction a new duct bank and removal of the existing cable will occur between Railroad Street  outside the Revere #7 Substation to the Winthrop #22 Substation on Argyle Street. The route will follow streets in Revere and Winthrop: Railroad Street, MA Route 1A, Revere Beach Parkway, Winthrop Avenue, State Road, Bennington Street, Crescent Avenue, Orchard Street, Pearl Avenue, Winthrop Parkway, Revere Street, Bayou Street, Crest Avenue and Argyle Street.

Timeline

Project construction will begin in May of 2021 and be complete in December of 2024.
